Today my family and I went to Medieval Times and it was a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It was part of my mom’s birthday gift. She was probably the one that enjoyed it the most, even more than the kids.
It is located inside a mall which seemed out of place but once inside, you don’t feel like you are inside a mall.
My only complain was that, to maintain the medieval atmosphere, we had to eat all our food with our hands. I’m still cleaning chicken from under my nails. If I ever go back, I’m definitely bringing a fork and knife in my purse. My sister, that doesn’t even eat pizza with her hands, was horrified.

There was a lot of flag waving, king speeches, knight fighting and horses dancing.
Our knight was the yellow and red knight. I have a sore throat from cheering him on but he lost the big tournament. Oh well, you can’t win them all.
The whole time I was thinking, what are these people like in their regular life. Do they leave for work dressed like this? Where do they keep the horses? I can imagine him at a party and someone asks “So, what do you do for a living?” and he says “Oh, I’m a knight.” Funny.

Great story!
We have Medieval Time in our town Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as we are a big tourist destination.
I have to admit I have never been to a show. My husband has taken our youngest once, when he was big into Knights.
They do show up for events around town like career day and the marathon.
Quite funny. Glad you had a great time with your mom and family.
That’s awesome! I was at Medieval Times once before! That’s when I lived in Dallas Texas…I went with my crazy friends and we had such an awesome time! Wow! I love the pictures! It must have been great fun…I wish I could take my kids there…I wonder where is the nearest one? I’ll Google it…LOL
Looks like good fun Aynex, I went to a medieval banquet near York a few years back and it was great fun, lots of beer, food and serving wenches, those were the days!!
