He is drinking some coffee with me this morning. He is going to be my travel companion. I’m taking a road trip to Paducah, KY and I leave today. I was going to go by myself but Mr. Tinkles offered to keep me company. I hope he doesn’t live up to his name because I don’t want to have to stop for potty breaks too often. On my way back from Paducah, I’m going to visit friends that I haven’t seen in a long time and there may be a few surprises on the way so stay tuned…

I had a car accident and suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury. It taught me a few things. You never know what life has in store for you and in a second everything can change. No matter how many plans you have, what’s going to happen is going to happen. You need to be prepared and work towards something but be flexible. No matter how bad things get, it is not the end of the world. Things will get better. Good things are coming your way. It was part of my mom’s birthday gift. She was probably the one that enjoyed it the most, even more than the kids. It is located inside a mall which seemed out of place but once inside, you don’t feel like you are inside a mall. My only complain was that, to maintain the medieval atmosphere, we had to eat all our food with our hands. I’m still cleaning chicken from under my nails. I wanted everything to be official, dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s. Well, everything is all dotted and crossed now. Last week, I was hired by the University of Maryland to design the website of the vice president. It is a very exciting and challenging project as I work to make a design work within the boundaries set by the university. I have to make the website look distinctive and memorable but at the same time have it look like … Read full article →

Hi Aynex: Looks like my beautiful website has been hacked. Any advice about how to fix that? She sounded calm enough but I was freaking out. That has never happened to any website I have designed before. I went to her website and this is what I saw: My heart stopped. I was envisioning a hostage rescue mission to recover the missing files very similar to Mission Impossible. Fixing the situation wasn’t as bad … Read full article →

Maybe it is because it started like this. If you are wondering why you can’t understand the countdown to the new year, it is because half of the people are saying it in Spanish and the other half in English. During the holidays I reached my goal of making all my gifts. Among them I made PJs for my nieces… …a purse for Tarina… …and a stuffed dog for Kiara. I think it was pretty accurate. Don’t ask me what’s shinning on my sister’s shoes and … Read full article →

A little later his wife contacted me and very excited told me that she was going to be a grandma and was hosting a baby shower for her daughter-in-law. She wanted to make it extra special and remembered the bottle labels I designed. So she sent me samples of the party decorations and asked me to design a label for the event. Here is the result. My favorite part of the label? The back.
